Phillies Cut 2B Luis Castillo

The Phillies have cut 2nd baseman Luis Castillo after only being signed a little more then a week ago. The move means Rule 5 pickup second baseman Micheal Martinez has most likely made the team and Wilson Valdez will start in place of Chase Utley until he gets back sometime in May or June.

Eagles 2011 Free Agent Market Top 10 Defense

Here are the ideal players the Eagles should pick up when the free agents market opens when they get a deal done with the CBA.

1.Nnamdi Asomugha (OAK)-CB- This is a shutdown cornerback and he will look great with Asante Samuel. He had 19 tackles and 0 INT but QB's almost never throw the ball to him as he is that good.

1A.Eric Weddle- Other then Ed Reed, Troy Polmanu and Nick Collins he is one of the best safeties in the game, he would require a huge contract. He had 96 tackles 2 INT'S and 1 sack.

3.Chris Carr (BAL -CB- Ravens best corner back had 61 tackles and 2 INT's this season.

4.Paul Posluszny (BUF)-LB- The former Nittany Lion would be a great fit in Philadelphia. He had 151 tackles and 2 sacks.

5.Michael Huff (OAK)-S- Had a tough opener but bounced back for 95 tackles 3 INT and 3 sacks would be a great replacement for Mikell.

6.Jonathon Joesph (CIN)-CB-The Beagals did tender him but if the tenders do change he would be a great pick up he had 42 tackles and 3 INT'S.

7.Ike Taylor (PIT)-CB- The Eagles would be smart to add this player he surrendered only one touchdown in 2010 and had 66 tackles and 2 INT'S plus 1 sack.

8.Antonio Cromartie (NYJ)-CB- Again he was tendered by the Jets and as with Joesph will the tender mean anything in the new CBA. Cromartie had 42 tackles and 3 INT'S

9.Manny Lawson (SF)-LB- 59 tackles 3 sacks
10.Gerald Sensabaugh-(DAL)-S- 71 tackles 5 int's 2 sacks
