Phillies Interested in Twins Free Agent Michael Cuddyer
According to CSNPhilly's Jim Salisbury the Phillies are in pursit of another former Minnesota Twin, Michael Cuddyer. Cuddyer who will be 33 in March who make a lot of sense for the Phillies as he can play 1B until Howard gets back, platoon in the OF and even help out Polanco who could use a day off every once in a while. Cuddyer who hit .272 but crushed left handers at a avg of .311 would give the Phillies another right handed bat in a left handed lineup. Cuddyer hit 20 hr and had 70 rbi's last season. Cuddyer who is a type A free agent and the Twins will most likely offer him salary arbitration meaning the Phillies will have to give up a 1st round pick in return for his services.
