The Phillies have declined the 2011 option of lefty reliever JC Romero making him a free agent. JC who the Phillies signed in 2007 after he was released from the Red Sox was a big part of the 2008 World Championship. In 2009 he was suspended for 50 game and was injured and never got in a groove. In 2010 it was much the same only pitching in 60 games and throwing only 36 and 2/3's innings. He was owed 4.5 million dollars in 2011.
